The Calendar tab in your provider portal is where you manage your availability for patient bookings. Sesame clinicians are expected to keep their calendar up to date so patients can only book when you’re actually available.
There’s no minimum or maximum amount of time you’re required to offer on Sesame—some clinicians add just a few hours a week, while others maintain full-time or near full-time availability.
Adding Availability
To open new appointment slots:
Navigate to the Calendar tab in your provider portal.
Select the provider name from the dropdown menu (if applicable).
Click anywhere on the calendar for the desired day.
Adjust the start and end times for your available block.
(Optional) Set Frequency:
Defaults to Does not repeat
You can also choose Daily, Every Weekday, or Weekly to make recurring availability.
Click “Add Availability.”
Tip: When creating availability, use larger continuous time blocks to represent the total period you’re available, rather than multiple short segments.
For example, if you’re available from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., create one block for that full window.
The Sesame scheduler only books visits that fit entirely within an available time block—so smaller, segmented slots may prevent patients from finding openings that match their visit length.
Editing or Deleting Availability
To change or remove an existing time slot:
Click on the time block you want to modify.
A window will appear—use the purple pencil icon to edit the start and end times.
If you want to delete the slot entirely, select “Remove Availability."
Click “Save Changes” if you’ve made edits.
Note: Availability can only be edited for the same day. To move it to a different date, delete the existing slot and create a new one on the correct day.
