The Sesame Clinician Dashboard is your home base within the provider portal. It’s the first screen you’ll see after logging in and the central hub where you’ll begin and complete nearly every patient interaction.
The dashboard brings all visit-related tools into one workspace. From here, you can:
Review upcoming and past appointments, including patient details and service type.
Open visit pages to access intake forms, start virtual visits, or document encounters.
Prescribe medications through Sesame ePrescribe.
Write Clinical Notes or create Medical Documents.
Order labs and imaging for Sesame patients.
Flag an appointment if an issue arises.
Navigating the Dashboard
At the top of the Dashboard, you’ll see a few key controls that help you filter and search your visit list:

Visit view dropdown:
The dashboard defaults to Upcoming Visits.
To view past visits, click the dropdown and switch to Past Visits.

Provider view toggle:
The dashboard defaults to Your Visits.
If your account includes multiple providers, you can toggle to view other providers’ visits, both past and upcoming.

Search bar:
You can search by patient name or by Encounter ID.
Encounter ID is Sesame’s unique internal identifier assigned to every patient encounter. It’s often used when communicating with Customer Support or Provider Success to reference a specific visit.
To copy an Encounter ID: click the three dots⋮ on the visit line item, then Copy Encounter ID.
How It Fits Into Your Workflow
Think of the dashboard as the single point of entry for all care delivery on Sesame. You’ll use it to:
Prepare: Review patient information and intake forms before the visit.
Conduct: Launch the virtual visit or manage in-person documentation.
Complete: Finalize notes, send prescriptions or lab orders, and mark the visit complete.
